We’ve had something exciting in the works for a while now, and we’re delighted to finally share it with you: Sonocent is officially becoming Glean.
For the last 14 years, our company has been called Sonocent. From today, we’ll be known as Glean.
As part of this change, we’re introducing a brand new visual identity and logo to Glean, reflecting our vision of helping students of all abilities to become better learners.
What’s changed - and what hasn’t
As well as our name, we’ve updated our logo, typeface, colour palette and introduced new styles of illustration and photography. You will find these changes reflected throughout Glean.

We’ve also made a number of changes to our website to make it easier to find the information you need. These include:
- A new Resources Hub which contains a wealth of helpful information to help you get the most out of Glean and maximise your learning.
- We’ve launched a brand new blog, where you can keep up-to-date with our latest news and insights.
Inside your Glean account, everything should work exactly as before. There are no changes to the way you record and review Events, and your previous recordings will be completely unaffected.
It’s worth saying that while our name has changed, we’re very much the same people as before. We're excited about what this means for our future, but you can rest assured that you will still receive the same level of service that you always have.
Why we’ve made this change
At Glean, our mission is to empower more than a million learners with the confidence and ability to build useful knowledge.
The changes we’re making aren’t simply cosmetic. They represent a greater shift in our philosophy on learning.
Every day, learners are presented with an incredible amount of information. It’s enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed.
Glean helps learners to develop core learning skills that make you feel more confident, more productive, and more focused as you study.
So, we’ve nailed our colours to the mast.
Find out more about what Glean stands for in our full announcement post.
If you have any questions about these changes, we’ve put together a series of FAQs on our Help Centre.
