The intense transition from high school to college

While Kaitlyn Morell was in high school, she found getting good grades came relatively easy. But when she begin her studies in college, things changed.

"I almost dropped out of college my first year because I just wasn't doing well with keeping up with things."

Kaitlyn, a first-generation student, found herself struggling to keep pace in lectures and capture the torrent of information to effectively utilise it for her studying.

Recommended by her college's TRIO Student Support Services, Glean became a lifeline for Kaitlyn.

"After I started using Glean, it really helped me to be able to focus better on lectures, absorb the information and really understand things. I think that's the main reason why I'm still in college today."

Glean's impact was multifaceted. By capturing lectures in real-time, Kaitlyn could revisit key concepts at her own pace.

"I would look at the transcript of the lecture and then like I would read through it again as if it was like the textbook," Kaitlyn explains. "And then I would be able to highlight things and add notes to certain places in the lecture."

This newfound ability to effectively engage with course material not only improved Kaitlyn's academic performance but also reignited her passion for learning.

"It's wonderful. I like learning and things of that nature, especially having gone from last year, almost quitting college altogether, to then being able to get back on track and now seeing things come together and being halfway to getting my degree."
